August Reading List
We made it! August! The month this avid reader gets some of her best reading done. We vacation and travel a LOT in the Summer, but it always seems more so in August. I'm that girl that will pack four books for a weeklong vacation and still consider sneaking in a few more - just in case, right?
I'm going to go about sharing with you the books I'm reading and my thoughts on them a little differently this month. Instead of a rundown of my tally at the end of the month, I'm going to post the intended titles I want to shake out, post a bit about each book as I finish through the month and then compile my favs and what I thought at the end of the month in review. Type A, much? Whatever. 99% of this blog is for my own nerdy reference anyways, what are you here for? ;)
So, here we go, a list of the books I'm packing alongside the tentpoles and fishing rods this month in hopes of coming closer to my #52booksayear goal.
All The Light We Cannot See | Anthony Doerr
The Alchemist | Paulo Coelho
Girl Underwater | Claire Kells
The Haunted Life & Other Tales | Jack Kerouac
The Thorn birds | Coleen McCullough
*The Great Gatsby | F. Scott Fitzgerald
*Annual Summer Read
I really am enjoying this New Year's Challenge, albeit the Type A in me is stressed that I'm not quite on target for 52 books this year. I know whether I complete it or not I'll still be ahead of the game so worry-not! Plus: I know I have a handful of long travel days ahead that I plan on pumping out a few books on, so he's to it! Join the convo below or on Twitter and share with me what you're reading! I'm always looking for new titles. Are you doing the #52booksayear challenge too?
