Project K:
Icelandic Poppies
Icelandic Poppies
I follow a bunch of blogs, and normally I get all my updates in the morning over a nice cup of tea while I’m feeding my little guy. Well, this morning I couldn’t be happier with one of the posts from Design Sponge. I absolutely love poppies (especially Icelandic) and was thrilled to see an article on these cheery and colourful Icelandic poppies.
I always find winter the hardest for my love of gardening, as I’m sure a lot of you struggle with too. I sit and look out my front window almost too much and think about what flower will go where, which ones have the greatest scent (those ones HAVE to be near our entrance) and a lot of the time just pretending I’m out there getting my hands dirty. Sounds weird I know, I don’t know where my love of horticulture came from, my Mum is no green thumb and I don’t think my Dad was either.
So in lieu of a GROW post from Project K, I thought I would send you on over to Grace’s beautiful website, Design Sponge, and you could check out more great pics of Icelandic poppies on her article, as well as arrangement ideas and how help your poppies last longer.
Sorry Grace, I couldn’t help but steal this image too, its stunning!! I wish I had somewhere to go that would justify me wearing three large poppies atop my head!
